AT LAST! We finally have a lovely sunny day, which out of the shade I could even say is quite warm! I’m just home from a wee coffee date with my friend Nicky, down in Café Nero in Bangor. After a coffee boost and a lovely wee scone we decided to venture down toward the McKee clock and to have a nosey around the Continental Market, which I had heard was down by the sea front.
I had heard here was a market down at the Sunken Gardens I think they call it now (new, revamped Bangor apparently) but when I seen it advertised on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/bangortimes, I realised it was actually like the one that arrives every Christmas in Belfast up at City Hall, not just a tiny market of local sellers. Not that I’m saying the local seller market isn’t good, but I have been down a few times before. When I realised it was the Continental Market I wanted to go down to and have a nosey . . .
There are many of the usual friendly faces and stalls you find up at the Continental Market at City Hall, such as those selling . . .
– Macaroons
– Dutch Pancakes
– Bratwurts and Currywurts
– Fudges
– Mixed Sweets
– Wooden Carvings
– Chocolate Waffles
– Kangaroo Burgers
There are loads! How about I just show you? I took a picture of each stall, so have a wee look . . .
I hope I have tempted you to head to Bangor this weekend before the Continental Market leaves on Sunday. P.S. There is also a BEER TENT!
