Pamper – Grace & Stella

IMG_20180712_192901.png

Everyone loves a pamper; or at least I do. Usually for me it’s that one night in the week where I decided to stick on a face-mask, some eye masks, change up the nails, exfoliate and do my tan just to name a few. Over the last couple of months I’ve been trying out some new products from a fabulous company Grace & Stella; that’s their eye masks above that I teamed with my Liz Earle face-mask.

Grace & Stella Co. was started in 2015 with their first product, Dr. Pedicure Foot Exfoliating Mask. It became an instant best seller after people were so in awe with what it could do for their feet. From there, they have been expanding their product line to include skincare, hair care, bath and shower products, as well as makeup.’ Their products are never tested on animals and you can find their range of beauty products on their own website Grace & Stella or on Amazon.

THESE ARE THE FOUR PRODUCTS I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU AND MY HONEST REVIEW OF THEM, I’VE USED THEM OVER THE LAST MONTH AND YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THEM ON MY INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT, SO FIRST UP:

ANTI WRINKLE + ENERGIZING EYE MASKS

IMG_20180712_192921.png

The Anti Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks, now I wouldn’t say I would have many wrinkles under my eyes, however when they get dry then that’s when I see lines appearing. These eye masks have actually been a god send for me over the last month with my hay-fever playing havoc with my eyes. I’ve actually been storing them in the fridge (not that you need to) and that added coolness and moisture has brought the puffiness and itch away.

SO THE TOP 5 QUESTIONS I KNOW I ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW WHEN I SEE OR HEAR ABOUT A NEW PRODUCT:

  1. Does it work? – Yes most definitely, I have noticed a big difference in my eyes once I have used them, especially as my eyes have been puffy and irritated with hay-fever.
  2. Do they work on sensitive skin? – For me yes, I mean everyone’s skin is different, but for me under my eyes would probably be my most sensitive areas and I had no reaction, sting or tingle with these.
  3. Are they easy to use? – Yes they are so simply, just remove the packet from the box, rip the top open (there’s a little slit in the side to do so) and slide out. No to be fair anytime I’ve used them only one has come out on the gold tray they are on and you have to fish the other one out of the packet. However once you get them out you just put them straight on to your eyes and they pretty much stick there, you can walk about with them on if you need to, or as I prefer just sit back and relax.
  4. Are they messy? – No not really, the only ‘mess’ is when you need to fish out the second eye mask but that is literally it. You could apply them anywhere, you don’t need to be restricted to your bathroom.
  5. Are they worth the money? A 12 pack on their website is $21.95 USD or on their Amazon site they are on offer for £13.99 which is a good price in my opinion for 12, at just over £1 a pair and free delivery it’s a good deal, they last you and even if you used 1 a week you would be getting 12 weeks out of them. I’ve used about half the packet but that was on trying them out for this review and on the other half. I will be purchasing when this box runs out.

ALOE VERA GEL

IMG_20180712_192951.png

Aloe Vera Gel – This was tested out quite a few times over this month between myself and Phil; the hottest weather in Northern Ireland we’ve ever experienced. I got caught out in the sun a couple of times and Phil being ginger and fair skinned always seems to get caught out on the golf course; even with sun cream. I tend to have my favourite after sun I always use and have done for years, because the smell reminds me of being on holiday. Aloe Vera would usually be one I would have stayed away from because any I had tried before were really sticky. However with this Grace & Stella Aloe Vera Gel it wasn’t sticky at all, it was quick drying and seemed to be near instant to take out that sunburn sting. I found it really moisturising and actually have started to use it on my legs after shaving.

AGAIN THE TOP 5 QUESTIONS I KNOW I ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW WHEN I SEE OR HEAR ABOUT A NEW PRODUCT:

  1. Does it work? – Yes, I have to say it’s been the most fast acting form of after-sun I have ever used to take out the sting. It works really well to moisturise and nourish my skin; it doesn’t just need to be used as an after-sun, but great for any type of skin. Perfect on freshly shaved legs or for Phil after shaving.
  2. Is it messy? – No, the pump makes it really clean and like I said it’s not sticky and dries in a flash.
  3. Is it easy to use?– Yes the pump means it’s really easy to use and you honestly don’t need a whole load of it, a little goes a long way.
  4. Is it worth the money? – Yes, like I said a little goes a long way so this 16oz/473ml bottle will go a long way. On their website it retails at $16.95 USD and on Amazon UK it is on offer for £16.99

FOOT PEEL MASK

(If you don’t like feet, just scroll down past this on to the next product)

aviary-image-1530125009024.jpeg

I have to admit this was the one product I was holding off on using, only because with the good weather I’ve been living in my sandals and flip-flops and I didn’t want semi-peeling feet! So this peel can work instantly, but also can take between 5-10 days depending on how bad your dry feet are. For me my feet started peeling after about 3 days and were still peeling on and off for about the 10 days after I applied the mask.

This may look painful, but it wasn’t at all, I honestly couldn’t believe it! The difference in my feet are crazy, this got rid of so much dead skin, I mean I knew my feet were bad, but not that bad! The difference was definitely worth the money and it was an easy way to remove all that dead/dry skin, but awh it was a bit of a faff with the rate it came off, a week in and it was the little dry bits left over that I had to keep exfoliating. However I don’t think I would have been as conscious of this if it wasn’t the summer and I wanted to wear sandals and flip flops and wear fake tan.

This may though be different for you and it may not take as long, like I said I had a lot of dry skin and I would use it more in the winter, before the Summer period and when I know the weather won’t be as good or I don’t have nights out coming up.

SO THE TOP 5 QUESTIONS I KNOW I ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW WHEN I SEE OR HEAR ABOUT A NEW PRODUCT:

  1. Does it work? – Yes, 100%, my feet are like new and I have been able to visibly see the amount of skin that has come off.
  2. Is it messy? – So the boots themselves aren’t really messy; it was a bit of a faff getting them on without spilling them and I couldn’t get the sticky ‘tape’ bits to come off so I ended up using masking tape from the cupboard. When I was removing them, it again was hard to not spill the liquid, but I just did it over the bath.
  3. Is it easy to use?– Yes you just need to stick them on your feet, put a pair of socks over the top, then sit and relax for an hour before washing your feet. I must say at this point the liquid in the ‘boots’ did have quite a strong chemical smell when you took them off. However I felt no reaction or discomfort to my feet when I had them on.
  4. Is it worth the money? – Yes, if you are looking for a foot pamper with a bit of oomph then this is the Foot Mask for you! This was the first product Grace & Stella launched and an instant best seller!

LED VANITY MIRROR

aviary-image-1530125229465.jpeg

Now this, this is the game changer! I absolutely love this LED Vanity Mirror from Grace & Stella, it has been a life saver for me in a home with basically zero number of mirrors. Well I lie there are mirrors, but all in the most inconvenient places for mirror use; I’ve moved in with Phil and have nagged for months about getting a decent mirror in our bedroom and one in the bathroom. So when this came along I was jumping for joy!

Basically it folds up and is about the size of a generic ipad so it’s really easy to store and use when travelling. It opens up to create a great 3 sided view, comes with an magnifying mirror (not that I think you need it) and you can plug it into your USB or put in batteries to use the LED lights to light up the main central mirror.

SO THE TOP 5 QUESTIONS I KNOW I ALWAYS WANT TO KNOW WHEN I SEE OR HEAR ABOUT A NEW PRODUCT:

  • Does it work? – Yes, 100%, it is amazing, it’s compact, great sized mirrors and amazing lighting for applying and removing makeup and I have loved it for shaping my brows.
  • Is it messy? – Well messy doesn’t really relate to a mirror but because it’s compact it’s easy to use and then tidy away.
  • Is it easy to use?– Yes so easy to use. Now I haven’t used it with the batteries, just with the USB lead but that has been perfect for my bedside table.
  • Is it worth the money? – Yes, yes, yes and I would recommend everyone get themselves one for any and every occasion.
